The world is rapidly running out of the fossil fuels coal and petrol. Scientists predict that there will not be enough for the world's needs in 40 to 70 years time.
A main factor that is quickly burning up the world's oil supply are cars. Ever since scientists have realised this they have been working towards different ways of powering our mini coopers and 4x wheel drives.
To power the cars scientists have come up with many ideas ranging from electrical to solar powered cars but both of these have their problems.
Solar - depends on the weather, if it is not sunny the car won't run.
Electrical - there are limits on how far you can drive in an electrically powered car.
But their best idea so far has been the hydrogen powered car. This highly efficient car emits no pollution, making it one of the most environmentally friendly cars in the world, especially compared to the petrol fueled car.
